Industrial Electrical Equipment Recycling
Maximize the Scrap Value of Your Electrical Tear-Outs.
Whether you are decommissioning a data center, upgrading a commercial building’s HVAC system, or cleaning out an electrical shop, your “waste” is full of recoverable assets. At National Metal Solutions, we specialize in processing complex electrical components, ensuring that the copper, brass, and silver-bearing metals inside are appraised at their true value.
We Accept a Wide Range of Electrical Scrap
Don’t let high-value components get lost in a pile of sheet iron. We pay competitive rates for:
-
Insulated Wire & Cable: From heavy-duty MCM and THHN to Romex and communication wire.
-
Transformers: Both dry-type and oil-filled (must be certified PCB-free) copper and aluminum wound units.
-
Electric Motors: Small appliance motors up to large industrial 3-phase motors.
-
Switchgear & Panels: Commercial bus bars (copper and aluminum), distribution panels, and gutter.
-
Circuit Breakers: Large industrial molded case circuit breakers (MCCB) and smaller residential units.
-
Bus Ducts & Plugs: High-yield copper and aluminum busway systems.
Why Recycle Electrical Gear with NMS?
Expert Breakdown & Grading Electrical equipment is often “contaminated” with steel casings or plastic insulation. We provide fair recovery-based pricing, so you get paid for the high-value metal inside the unit, not just the gross weight.
Job Site Container Solutions For large-scale electrical renovations in the 630 area, we can provide specialized bins for your wire and equipment. We’ll handle the logistics so your crew can stay focused on the installation.
Certified Data Destruction & Compliance If you are recycling equipment from sensitive environments like data centers, we provide the documentation needed to prove the equipment has been responsibly recycled and diverted from landfills.
Pro-Tip: The Value is in the “Bus”
Check your panels: Before you scrap a large distribution panel, check the bus bars. Solid copper bus bars are significantly more valuable than aluminum ones. If you have the time to pull the copper bus bars out of the steel housing, your payout will increase substantially.
